Water heaters and plumbing Recalls
Quick Answer
To check whether your water heaters is recalled, find the model number on its label, then search it at cpsc.gov/Recalls or scan the list below for your brand. A recall means the maker owes you a free repair, replacement, or refund. You do not have to be the original buyer. Stop using the product first if the notice names a fire, shock, or carbon monoxide hazard.
Where to find the model number
The model and serial number are on the silver rating label on the side of the tank or the front of a tankless unit. Faucets and supply lines are stamped or printed on the body or the box.
