Appliances Recalls

Quick Answer

To check whether your appliances is recalled, find the model number on its label, then search it at cpsc.gov/Recalls or scan the list below for your brand. A recall means the maker owes you a free repair, replacement, or refund. You do not have to be the original buyer. Stop using the product first if the notice names a fire, shock, or carbon monoxide hazard.

Where to find the model number

Open the door and look on the frame or inside the drum, or check the back panel. The label lists the brand, model number, and serial number, which is what a recall notice uses.
